A Beautiful Dream

i knew i was so happy
running on the silvery beach
the sand running through my feet
and the wind playing with my hair
I knew i was waiting for somebody
From the beating of my heart
i felt someone behind me
and i slowly turned around
i saw you clearly
everything i have ever dreamed of
a tall dark stranger who has lived forever in my thoughts
then you slowly turned around
and started walking away
i walked towards you
my footsteps hurrying to meet yours
when i finally reached you
i slowly tugged your hand
you turned towards me
and gave me that mysterious smile
But then the unimaginable happened
you started fading infront of my eyes
when i opened my eyes
i realised i was in my bed
then only did i realise it was a dream
a sweet dream thats all it was
but i knew one thing then
i 'd always remember that smile
because thats all i have
a memory to last for all eternity
